A 41-year-old woman from Paphos who was reported missing early Friday was later found dead near Timi beach, authorities confirmed.
Police identified the woman as Kyriakoula Koutsavaki. Officers had launched an extensive search operation after her vehicle was discovered abandoned along the Paphos coastline. The effort included air, sea and ground units combing areas around Timi, Kouklia, Mandria and Achelia.
On Friday afternoon, officials reported the discovery of a woman’s body in the Timi area, close to Paphos airport. The victim was subsequently confirmed to be Koutsavaki.
According to police, the mother of three, whose children are aged five, six and nine, had been living in Timi. She was last seen at her home at approximately 2:30 a.m. before being reported missing later that morning.
Authorities said a post-mortem examination will be carried out to determine the cause of death. No additional information had been released as of Friday night, and the investigation remains ongoing.
