Nicosia has said it is alarmed by the wave of violence and the provocative actions in Jerusalem, as well as by the indiscriminate firing of rockets from Gaza, urging for restraint and immediate de-escalation.
"Alarmed by the wave of violence & provocative actions in Jerusalem as well as by the indiscriminate firing of rockets from Gaza," the Foreign Ministry said in a post on its Twitter account.
Moreover it noted that it is "imperative to fully respect the status quo of the Holy Sites in line with Jordan's special role."
