Over 200 personal doctors and 45 doctors of the state health services organisation have expressed interest in participating in the Health Ministry’s new initiative to speed up vaccination coverage of those aged over 30.
The Health Ministry recently called on personal doctors to get on board with administering AstraZeneca jabs to all 30 pluses in their patient lists who express interest.
With over 200 personal doctors on board, the distribution of some 16,000 AstraZeneca vaccines to personal doctors began Wednesday.
Health Ministry press officer Margarita Kyriakou said it’s up to personal doctors to set appointments with beneficiaries to express interest in getting vaccinated.
