Police continued their ongoing targeted preventive operations across all districts overnight, recording two arrests and 136 traffic citations in the most recent round of checks, as part of an intensified effort to curb crime and improve road safety.
With an increased presence at key urban locations, officers focused on preventing serious criminal activity, protecting citizens, and maintaining public order.

- More than 570 vehicles stopped for inspection
- Over 710 individuals checked
- 510+ breathalyzer tests conducted
- 136 traffic violations recorded, including 32 cases of driving under the influence
- Seven vehicles impounded
- Two arrests, including a 30-year-old wanted on a court warrant and a driver caught drink-driving
In addition to road checks, police carried out 35 inspections of premises nationwide. One report was filed for a violation related to operating licenses.
The operations are part of a preventive plan by the Police, which includes increased police presence, targeted checks, and immediate operational action in all districts, with the aim of preventing crime and enhancing the public’s sense of security.
