Evening drivers in Agios Tychonas, Limassol, recently encountered a scene more fitting for a farmyard than a busy roadway. A lone pig was spotted strolling along a public road during active traffic hours, catching motorists completely off guard.
Footage captured from a passing car shows the animal confidently moving across the rain-slicked asphalt before heading uphill, unfazed by the vehicles trailing behind. Based on its appearance, the pig is thought to be a domesticated black farm pig rather than a wild boar.
No accidents or traffic disruptions were linked to the incident, but the clip quickly made the rounds online, sparking a mix of humor and concern among local social media users. Many highlighted the potential dangers of stray livestock sharing space with moving traffic.
Drivers should always remain vigilant, as hazards on the road can sometimes be unexpected...and curly-tailed.
