A police chase in Limassol on Thursday, January 30, ended with the arrest of a 25-year-old Syrian man who attempted to evade officers during a routine patrol.

The incident began around 6:00 p.m. when officers on motorized patrol noticed a vehicle driving without registration plates. They signaled for the driver to stop, but instead, the driver accelerated, leading to a pursuit through the city streets.

The chase came to an abrupt halt when the driver struck a curb stake, causing the vehicle to come to a stop. Police quickly approached and arrested the man, who was later identified as a 25-year-old Syrian national.
