Upon learning about the situation, the minister immediately instructed relevant authorities to head to the scene. The Department of Environment and the Veterinary Services were dispatched to the area to assess and manage the situation. They are coordinating with the Meniko Community Council to ensure proper handling.

Officials have been in close communication with the community leader, as the investigation into how and why these animals were dumped continues. The cause of death and the exact number of animals involved remain under investigation.

The event has shocked both local residents and authorities, who are working together to address the situation and prevent future occurrences.
