Law enforcement authorities have unraveled the mystery surrounding the hospitalization of a 24-year-old man with a brain injury since Sunday (14/01), shedding light on the incident that led to his medical condition.
Head of the Limassol Police Department, Mr. Lefteris Kyriakou, revealed on the SIGMA show "Mesimeri kai Kati" that after Monday morning examinations (15/01) and testimonies obtained from authorities, it appears the young man suffered the injury while riding his electric scooter in the Yermasogeia area.
According to Kyriakou, the 24-year-old lost balance on the road, resulting in a fall that caused the head injury. Prompt action was taken, and he was swiftly transported by ambulance to Limassol General Hospital. Subsequent examinations confirmed a craniocerebral injury, prompting his transfer to the Nicosia General Hospital due to the severity of his condition. Presently, his condition is serious but stable.
Upon recovery, the 24-year-old is expected to provide a statement to the police, completing the investigation into the circumstances surrounding his unfortunate incident.
