Ukrainian drones struck a large Russian ammunition depot in Toropets, in Russia’s Tver region, igniting a fire and triggering explosions, local authorities said.
The depot, part of the 107th arsenal of the Main Missile and Artillery Directorate, lies about 380 kilometers (236 miles) northwest of Moscow and roughly 470 kilometers north of Ukraine's border.
Authorities responded by declaring an emergency evacuation in the area to ensure the safety of residents.
