Another boat carrying 73 people, all from Syria, was brought to Larnaca port yesterday evening. According to police sources, the vessel was spotted by the Republic's radars off Cape Greco and was approached by a coast guard boat early yesterday evening.

The boat, carrying a total of 73 people from Syria, was escorted to Larnaca port. Upon arrival, authorities recorded the details of all 73 passengers and then transferred them to the "Pournara Reception Center" in Kofinou.

Earlier this morning, a minor was arrested as the alleged captain of the boat. Late last night, a 44-year-old man was also arrested as the captain of another boat transporting 37 irregular migrants, which was found off Cape Greco and brought to Larnaca port around 7 p.m.

Both suspects are expected to appear before the Larnaca District Court today for detention orders.
