A 31-year-old single mother of three children is appealing for help after a fire allegedly left her home uninhabitable, with claims that repeated attempts to contact the Welfare Office have gone unanswered.

According to what was reported in a video circulating online, the woman, identified as Maria, said the fire started from a space heater and caused extensive damage to the family’s residence. She explained that she is raising three underage children, aged 13, 11 and 9, all of whom have been diagnosed with autism.

The family is reportedly known to the Welfare Office and has been under its supervision, however the mother claims she is now facing a serious crisis and is unable to manage without immediate assistance.

Maria stated that after the incident she reached out to a Welfare Office employee, who informed her that the social worker previously assigned to her case had been replaced. She alleges that despite her efforts to contact the new officer responsible, she received no response.

With the house no longer suitable for living and no clear support in place, she reportedly turned to volunteers and members of the public for urgent help, particularly with restoring or securing accommodation for her and her children.
