SPP Media Goes Pink for October

In support of Breast Cancer Awareness Month and Europa Donna Cyprus

Press Release

October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month, a time dedicated to raising awareness about the importance of prevention and early detection. The pink ribbon, a symbol of the cause, is a reminder of the global fight against breast cancer.

SPP Media Group, with a strong commitment to empathy and social solidarity, stands with women who have faced or are facing breast cancer. The company proudly supports the crucial work of Europa Donna Cyprus. As part of this commitment, throughout October, the SPP Media headquarters in Nicosia will be illuminated in pink, a symbolic gesture of support for the cause.

In addition, Europa Donna Cyprus will host the 20th Annual "Pink Figures Walk" on Saturday, October 5, in Nicosia. This year's event is dedicated to providing collective support to women battling metastatic breast cancer. It is held under the auspices of Stella Kyriakides, the European Commissioner for Health and Food Safety.

The "Pink Figures Walk" will commence at 5:00 PM from Eleftheria Square in Nicosia and will conclude at AstroBank's headquarters, the strategic partner of this year's event. At the destination, 782 pink figures will be displayed, representing the new cases of breast cancer diagnosed in women in Cyprus in 2023. In addition, 7 blue figures will symbolize the men diagnosed with breast cancer, 226 turquoise figures will represent new cases of gynecological cancers, and 239 white figures will honor the lives lost to cancer this year.

Together, we can make a difference. Let's stand united with those who need our support, contributing however we can to improve the quality of life for those affected by cancer.
