A northeastern wind front is affecting the area over Cyprus, with fair skies and sunshine expected Monday and Tuesday with increasing chances of rain by mid-week.
Monday weather is expected to be mostly clear after initial periods of mid-level and high clouds in the morning. Winds will be weak to moderate while the sea will range from calm to relatively calm.
No noticeable change is expected for Tuesday, with temperatures slightly above the normal, but they are expected to drop back down around Thanksgiving
Maximum high temperatures are expected to reach 25° Celsius inland, around 22 on the eastern coast, 24 in all other coastal regions, while it will be 17 in the mountains.
In the evening, the weather will remain mostly clear while scattered clouds will be visible mainly mid-level and high-level clouds.
Minimum lows will register about 10 degrees inland, around 12 in the northern and western parts, around 14 in all other coastal regions, while it will drop down to 6 degrees on the highest elevations in the mountains.
No noticeable change is expected for Tuesday, with temperatures remaining slightly above the normal averages for this time of the year but they are expected to drop back down the following day.
Chances of rain will increase on Wednesday and Thursday, with periods of sunshine intermitted by cloudy skies and possibly rain showers over local areas including isolated thunderstorms.
