The forecast has officially entered its copy-and-paste era

Another sunny day ahead, with temperatures reaching 37°C inland.

At this point, the weather forecast is beginning to resemble that colleague who keeps replying to emails with "see previous message."

A seasonal low-pressure system continues to affect the region, although its influence remains limited. Today's forecast follows a now-familiar script: plenty of sunshine, warm temperatures and just enough afternoon cloud to keep meteorologists from getting bored.

Conditions will remain mainly clear throughout the day, with southwesterly to northwesterly winds strengthening during the afternoon. The sea will be slightly rough, particularly later in the day.

Temperatures will once again climb to around 37°C inland, 33°C along most coastal areas, 29°C on the west coast and 27°C in the higher mountains.

Tonight will stay mainly clear, although increased low cloud is expected at times and patches of mist or fog may form before dawn. Overnight temperatures will fall to around 23°C across most lowland areas and 17°C in the higher mountains.

The outlook through Thursday, Friday and Saturday offers little variation. Skies will remain mostly clear, while some afternoon cloud development may occur over the mountains, where an isolated shower cannot be completely ruled out.

Temperatures are expected to remain largely unchanged over the coming days, staying slightly above seasonal averages. In short, if you've enjoyed the weather recently, you're in luck. If you've been waiting for something different, you may need to lower your expectations until further notice.
