Three police officers have been placed on leave while authorities investigate allegations that they assaulted and injured a person in Paphos.
The incident allegedly occurred during the early hours of Aug. 13. All three officers were off duty at the time, police said.
The officers, aged 36, 43 and 44, were suspended Friday on the instructions of Deputy Police Chief Panikos Stavros.
A case of assault causing actual bodily harm is being investigated. Police have not released details about what led to the alleged confrontation, where precisely it occurred or the condition of the person reportedly injured.
The investigation is being handled by the Paphos Criminal Investigation Department.
No arrests or charges have been announced, and the allegations remain under investigation.
