Donald Trump is expected to be named "Person of the Year" by Time magazine. To mark the unveiling of the cover, the newly elected president is set to ring the opening bell at the New York Stock Exchange, according to Politico.
Last year, Time honored pop superstar Taylor Swift with the "Person of the Year" title.
The list and the cover
Trump was previously named "Person of the Year" by Time in 2016, following his presidential election win. Over the years, 13 U.S. presidents, including Joe Biden, have received this prestigious recognition.
According to NBC, this year’s nominees also include Vice President Kamala Harris, Kate Middleton, Elon Musk, and Benjamin Netanyahu.
In the past, nominees have included figures such as Winston Churchill, Queen Elizabeth, Vladimir Putin, and Joseph Stalin.
Notably, Trump has appeared on the cover of Time magazine three times this year.
