The seasonal low-pressure system isn't backing down. Just when we thought we had settled into a steady rhythm, inland temperatures climb right back up to the 40°C mark today.

The Department of Meteorology has rolled out another Yellow Warning, valid for a precise two-hour stretch between 14:00 and 16:00. Keep hydrated during that mid-afternoon peak, especially for young kids and elderly family members!

Here is how today's thermal lineup looks across the island:

Inland plains: Pinpointed right at 40°C under mostly sunny skies.
West coast: Earning top marks for coastal survival at 31°C.
Remaining coastlines: Resting around 35°C.
Higher Troodos Mountains: Sitting at 30°C, though afternoon clouds will build over the peaks.

Wind and waves:
Mornings start light and variable at Force 3, eventually turning southwesterly to northwesterly at a light-to-moderate Force 3 to 4. Along the southern coast, expect winds to temporarily pick up to a strong **Force 5**. The sea holds at a slightly rough state throughout the day.

Tonight: Clear skies and quiet coastal air

Skies stay predominantly clear into the evening and overnight hours. Winds ease down to a light Force 3, blowing northwesterly to northeasterly, and taking a southeasterly direction along the northern coast. Marine conditions will settle between calm and slightly rough.

Wednesday & Thursday: Clear skies continue with localized afternoon clouds. Temperatures hold steady with isolated afternoon showers possible over the Troodos range.

Friday: Temperatures finally take a slight downward turn, dragging values closer to average late-summer levels to close out the workweek!
