We made it past the initial shock of December and Monday, and today, we are rewarded with the weather equivalent of a deep breath and a long sigh of relief. If Monday was a drama, Tuesday is a pleasant documentary narrated by a soothing voice.
Remember how we complained about ADEL the low-pressure diva? Well, she's packed up her heavy baggage, and in her place, we have the calming influence of a weak high-pressure system. High pressure means sinking air, clear skies, and generally, a very nice day; a meteorological apology, if you will.
The weather will be mostly clear, which is exactly what we need for a Tuesday pick-me-up! We'll see some increased cloudiness creeping in occasionally, and the mountains might still get a quick, isolated shower, just to keep things interesting.
The winds are light and cooperative, blowing mainly from southwest to northwest at a gentle 3-4 Beaufort. The sea will be slightly rough, but nothing to write home about.
The sunshine and the high pressure are cranking up the heat, giving us a generous break from typical December chill. Expect a delightfully warm 24°C inland, on the southern and eastern coasts. The remaining coasts will be still very pleasant at around 22°C, and the higher mountains will be a cool 13°C, perfect for a sunny winter hike.
Tonight, the high-pressure system remains firmly in control, giving us mostly clear conditions for stargazing or just planning tomorrow's success.
Wednesday & Thursday: The weather will be partly cloudy at times. We're coasting now. The work week is halfway done!
Friday: Don't get too comfortable. Friday starts partly cloudy but will gradually shift to mostly cloudy, with a grand finale of isolated showers or thunderstorms expected in the evening. The weekend forecast always has a little twist!
Enjoy this peaceful, unseasonably warm Tuesday. It's basically a weather bonus day!
