Turkish official denies corruption allegations

The Turkish National Assembly Foreign Relations Committee Chair, Fouat Oktay, asserts transparency and challenges accusations

In response to allegations of involvement in a corruption scandal, Fouat Oktay, Chairman of the Foreign Relations Committee of the Turkish National Assembly, vehemently denied any wrongdoing. Oktay asserted his transparency, stating that his financial assets have been disclosed to the Turkish Grand National Assembly, and he is willing to address any inquiries.

"I am open to any issue, whatever the issue, to the end," Oktay declared during a statement to the commission. He emphasized the availability of his financial records and those of his first-degree relatives. Oktay expressed his determination to refute the accusations, having filed a criminal complaint with the prosecutor's office. "I am clean. You can go all the way, no matter what," he asserted, firmly rejecting any involvement in the alleged corruption scandal.
