Two minor earthquakes shook Limassol on Sunday early morning, five minutes apart from each other

Two minor earthquakes were registered in Limassol on Sunday early morning, with officials saying they occurred five minutes apart.
According to the Geological Survey Department, the epicenter of the initial seismic activity at 3:30am local time was 5 kilometres northeast of Limassol, with 5 km depth and 3.6 magnitude on the Richter scale.
Five minutes later, at 3:35am, a second 3.2-magnitute earthquake took place about 6 kilometres north of Limassol with a depth of 5 km.
The earthquakes were felt in the Ayios Athanasios area in the southern town as well as in the wider local region.
