Two bodies discovered in sunken yacht Bayesian

Italian divers find two bodies amid search for six missing passengers after luxury yacht sinks in storm

Source: Reuters

Italian rescue divers have found two bodies inside the sunken luxury yacht Bayesian, which sank off the coast of Sicily during a violent storm, according to Reuters.

Six people have been missing since the incident early Monday, including tech entrepreneur Mike Lynch, his 18-year-old daughter Hannah, and Jonathan Bloomer, non-executive chairman of Morgan Stanley International, along with his wife Judy. Also missing are Chris Morvillo, a lawyer at Clifford Chance, and his wife Neda.

Divers from the Italian Corps of Firefighters found the bodies inside a cabin, partially hidden behind mattresses. One of the bodies was identified as male, but officials have not yet confirmed if the bodies were recovered.

Several boats have departed from the port of Porticello to assist in the search efforts.
