Two Greek Cypriots arrested in occupied territories on weapons charges

In a recent development reported by Kipris, two Greek Cypriots have been arrested in the occupied territories on charges of possession of illegal weapons.

According to the publication, the individuals were apprehended around 9:00 p.m. on Tuesday while attempting to enter the occupied territories from the Ayios Dometios roadblock.

Upon inspecting their vehicle, authorities allegedly discovered two pistols and ammunition hidden in a compartment. The suspects were presented before a court in occupied Nicosia, where they contested the charges. A one-day detention order was issued as part of the ongoing investigation.

Cyprus Police have confirmed their knowledge of the arrests to CNA.
