Police arrested a 22-year-old man in connection with a drug possession case after a search of his home uncovered a small amount of cannabis, authorities said on Saturday.
According to the Police, the investigation is linked to an earlier incident in which officers attempted to stop a vehicle driven by another individual. The driver allegedly refused to comply and fled the scene, colliding with police vehicles during the escape.
Two officers were injured as a result of the crash.
Police also reported that a separate quantity of cannabis weighing approximately one kilogram was found and collected in the surrounding area as part of the same case.
