Variable weather and isolated showers

Expect rain and possible thunderstorms this weekend

Today, the local sparse fog and low clouds are dissipating, giving way to mainly clear weather. However, during the midday hours and onwards, localized increased cloudiness will develop in the mountainous areas, potentially resulting in isolated showers. Later in the day, intermittent increased low clouds will appear along the coastal areas.

The winds will start off as variable and weak, blowing at around 3 Beaufort, but they will gradually shift to mainly southwest to northwest directions, remaining weak to moderate at speeds of 3 to 4 Beaufort. In some areas, winds may become locally moderate, reaching 4 Beaufort. In the afternoon, particularly in the pre-coastal regions, winds will intensify, becoming strong at 5 Beaufort.

Sea conditions will be generally slightly rough, with temporary roughness expected in the southern, western, and northern coastal areas during the afternoon.

Temperature-wise, the inland regions will experience a rise, with temperatures reaching around 37 degrees Celsius. The northern, southeastern, and eastern coastal areas will see temperatures around 32 degrees, while the southwestern and western coasts will have temperatures around 30 degrees. In the higher mountainous regions, temperatures will be around 29 degrees Celsius.

As evening approaches, the weather will remain mostly clear, although intermittent increased low clouds will be observed along the coasts. During the early morning hours, some areas may experience the formation of sparse fog or fog.

Winds during the evening will mainly blow from the southwest to northwest, occasionally varying in direction and initially ranging from weak to moderate speeds of 3 to 4 Beaufort. As the evening progresses, winds will weaken, reaching 2 to 3 Beaufort. The sea will be slightly rough, with the eastern areas becoming calm to slightly rough later on.

Temperature-wise, there will be a drop in temperatures. Inland and coastal regions can expect temperatures around 23 degrees Celsius, while higher mountainous areas will see temperatures around 19 degrees Celsius.

Looking ahead to the weekend and the start of the new week, localized increased cloudiness is expected during the midday hours and onwards. This could bring isolated showers to various parts of the region, with the possibility of isolated thunderstorms occurring primarily in mountainous areas but also in some inland regions.

On Saturday, there will be a slight increase in temperatures, with readings reaching and slightly surpassing the average climatological values. However, by Monday, temperatures will slightly decrease, particularly in the inland areas, resulting in temperatures close to the climatological averages for this time of year.
