Violent clashes took place on Ledra Street, with a video released by the political party ELAM showing two groups of people engaged in fighting in the middle of the pedestrian street. Some individuals were seen throwing chairs, and injuries were reported during the incident.
ELAM, in its announcement, described those involved as "foreign nationals" and claimed that the street had once again turned into a site of unrest. The party stated that criminal elements had caused chaos and increased the sense of insecurity among citizens.
The party also called for increased policing in areas where it says delinquent activity is rising and announced plans to meet with relevant ministries to present recommendations for restoring public order.
