A bus driver transporting students from Larnaca Technical School to their homes reported being targeted by a group of pupils who allegedly threw objects at him while the vehicle was in motion.
The incident occurred shortly after 1:30 p.m. on Tuesday, when the driver, faced with escalating behavior, brought the bus to a stop and contacted the Larnaca Police Department. Officers responded promptly, arriving with two patrol vehicles to the scene.
Authorities identified six to seven students on board the bus, who were singled out by the driver. Police said the children and their parents will be summoned to provide statements regarding the episode.
Officials are reviewing whether the students’ actions could constitute traffic or criminal offenses. A formal report will be prepared and forwarded to the Attorney General’s office for further guidance.
The bus driver has been asked to submit a written account detailing the events that took place during the journey.
