Strong winds and showers are expected on Tuesday along with chances of thunderstorms, with moderate dust clearing out and followed by days of mixed weather.
A low pressure system is affecting Cyprus early this week with mostly cloudy skies on Tuesday expected at times to bring local showers and isolated thunderstorms, along with chances of hail during heavy rain.
Strong winds will affect windward slopes in coastal areas, while snow is also expected in Troodos after 12 noon.
Daytime temperature highs will reach 18 degrees Celsius inland and along the west coast, around 19 in all other coastal regions, while it will be 12 high up in the mountains.
Evening skies will remain mostly cloudy with local showers and isolated thunderstorms mainly near coastal areas and foothills, along with occasional snowfall on the highest peaks of Troodos. Temperatures will drop to 8 degrees inland, around 13 along the coast, while it will be 3 higher up where frost is expected to form overnight.
Temperature will drop slight on Wednesday when periods of sunshine will alternate with cloudy skies and local rain, including possible isolated thunderstorms, while snow will continue at times on Troodos.
Similar mixed weather conditions will continue Thursday and Friday.
