Police are looking for an adult female who is suspected of attempting to sneak cocaine into the hands of a man in custody at the Paphos courthouse.

According to Cyprus News Agency, an inmate described as a 36-year-old Greek national was transferred from Nicosia Central Prisons to Paphos District Court on Tuesday to hear his sentence on dosmestic violence charges.

During the proceedings, an unknown female ordered iced-coffee from the cafeteria of the courthouse and instructed a woman on staff to deliver the frappe to the male defendant.

But during an inspection, officers found four small bags of cocaine inside the Frappe coffee, with the drugs weighing a total of 52 grams.

Police are said to be trying to locate the mystery woman who allegedly attempted to bring contraband in a court of law, while a Paphos judge handed down a five month sentence to the male defendant.
