The Meteorological Service had issued a yellow warning for rain and storms on Tuesday afternoon.
According to the announcement, rains and local storms are expected to affect the area. Rainfall intensity is expected to vary between 35 and 50 millimeters per hour.
The yellow warning will be in effect from 3 am on Wednesday until 3 pm on the same day.

It is possible that sleet or snow will fall on Troodos' highest peaks. The system moves eastward in the afternoon, and the effects gradually fade. Winds will be mostly from the southeast to the southwest, light to moderate (3 to 4 Beaufort), and transient to windward to strong (4 to 5 Beaufort). The sea will be rough and transient locally on the windward coast, ranging from rough to rough. Temperatures will rise to around 19 degrees inland and along the coasts, and around 10 degrees higher in the mountains.
