Starting Wednesday, July 22, people in Cyprus will be able to buy shares in the new Pancyprian Cooperative Holdings and Cooperative Promotion Society through a newly launched online platform.

The platform, available at shares.pccpc.cy, allows anyone to become a member by purchasing a minimum of 100 shares, priced at €1 each—meaning the minimum investment is €100.

According to the organisation, payments of up to €10,000 can be made online using a bank card through JCC, with the money deposited into a dedicated account at the Bank of Cyprus.

For investments above €10,000, payments must be made by bank transfer after contacting the organisation's support team.

The public share offer will remain open until November 17, 2026.

Before investing, the organisation is encouraging prospective buyers to carefully read the approved prospectus and the terms of the public offer to fully understand both the potential risks and benefits. It also stressed that approval of the prospectus should not be seen as an endorsement of the shares themselves.

What does this mean?

For many Cypriots, it is the first opportunity in years to buy into a cooperative-style organisation following the collapse of the old Cooperative Bank.

However, as with any investment, buying shares carries both opportunities and risks. Anyone considering investing is encouraged to do their homework and understand exactly what they are buying before committing their money.
