Fintech hiring heats up

Kraken expands recruitment and Exness prepares internship intake, signalling strong demand for skilled talent in Cyprus’ digital finance sector.

Hiring activity in Limassol’s fintech and digital assets sector accelerated this week, with two major players signaling strong demand for specialized talent.

Kraken has become one of the most active recruiters in the local tech hub, posting openings for compliance officers, DLT engineers, and relationship managers. The pace currently exceeds that of several established FX brokers. The expansion comes as Cyprus enters the final stretch of its MiCA implementation, a shift that is raising professional standards and deepening the talent pool for regulated crypto asset services.

At the same time, Exness is closing the recruitment window for its 2026 internship program on 30 April. The initiative will place 25 interns in Limassol this summer, primarily across technology and legal teams.

Taken together, these developments point to sustained, industry-wide demand for high-skilled labor in fintech, even as the new 15% corporate tax rate and 8% share option tax incentive begin to influence how firms structure compensation.
