Nicosia Mall shoots for November opening

Done deals on all 150 shops, Zara said to be part of the new shopping centre

A recent post by Nicosia Mall chairman Marios Kalochoritis, talking about 455 people working on site, shows the current progress in completing the shopping center in the western part of the capital that continues nonstop in order to be ready for the Christmas holidays and even welcome its first customers in November.

The access road around the perimeter of the mall is in the final stages, with service roads in the back of already completed and waiting for to be coated with three layers of asphalt.

Kalochoritis, who told Kathimerini Cyprus he was satisfied with the work in progress, also said the operation of Nicosia Mall will offer quite a different shopping experience to consumers.

Deals have been made on the 150 shops that will be hosted on the premises, with some already having been announced while for others, such as the Choulioti Group, there have been no official announcements.

According to information gathered by Kathimerini, a few handshakes already took place for ‘sure thing’ SayWear Group, with a number of brand names such as Zara, Zara Home, Massimo Dutti, Bershka, Pull and Bear as well as Oysho, while there will be a number of stores at the shopping mall and one of them has already been completed.

There is also a partnership with Mallouppas & Papacostas Group (Stradivarius, Mango, Calzedonia, Intimissimi, Tezenis and Kipling), C.A.Papaellinas with Beauty Line, Holland&Barrett, and Yves Rocher, as well as sportswear by FAIS Group. The sports section will include Adidas, Famous Sports, as weel as the stores by the Intersports chain. Of course, Marks & Spencer, Topshop & Topman, Dorothy Perkins, Evans, Wallis and Celio, as well as Terranova will be a shoe in, but also the brands of the Folli Follie Group.

The calling card of the Nicosia Mall, according to the management, will be its different architecture and spatial arrangement, with venues that will be divided based on sections based on brand origins such as European fashion. Another department will have the athletic stores which will include the above multibrands while there will also be a Boutique.
