For yet another year, PwC Cyprus actively participated in one of the biggest acts of altruism, organising voluntary blood donations. The annual blood donations are now part of the statutory actions of the newly established non-profit PwC Foundation, whose aim is to support the local community at large while encouraging the organisation's people to participate.
Co-travellers in this effort are the people of the organisation who took a break from their work to offer an invaluable gift of life to many of their fellow human beings. In total, more than two hundred people working at PwC Cyprus in Nicosia, Limassol and Paphos participated in the three blood drives held in the past year.
The CEO of PwC Cyprus, Mr Philippos Soseilos, expressed his pride for the massive participation of the people of the organisation in this special act of solidarity offered from person to person. ''PwC is its very people and we can only feel proud of their voluntary disposition and action in every initiative of the PwC Foundation, aiming at supporting our fellow human beings and society at large. Βlood donation constitutes a continuous act of solidarity but also a responsibility, thus it is always at the core of our organisation's actions''.
