Police in Limassol arrested a 17-year-old boy in connection with an alleged robbery and motorcycle theft that took place early Wednesday morning.

Investigators say two men, both aged 30, were travelling on a motorcycle in Limassol at around 1am when a car approached them and blocked their route. Three hooded individuals reportedly got out of the vehicle and attacked the pair, forcing them to run from the scene.

After the assault, the suspects allegedly took the motorcycle and left the area. Officers from the Limassol Criminal Investigation Department later recovered the stolen bike in a city park several hours after the incident.

The teenager was taken into custody on Thursday under a court-issued arrest warrant. Authorities expect him to appear before the Limassol District Court on Friday, where police will request a detention order while inquiries continue.

The Limassol CID is continuing its investigation into the case.
