26-year-old student dies after scooter collision in Limassol

Nepalese national Lakpadoma Sherpa succumbed to injuries after being hospitalized in critical condition.

A 26-year-old woman has died following a traffic collision involving an electric scooter in Limassol.

The victim, Lakpadoma Sherpa, a Nepalese national, had been receiving treatment at a private clinic in Limassol after suffering serious injuries in the crash. Authorities said she passed away last night.

According to police, the collision happened at around 8:00 a.m. on 10 February 2026 on Nikos Pattichis Street. A 52-year-old woman who was driving a car reportedly struck the electric scooter Sherpa was riding. The exact circumstances of the incident remain under investigation.

Sherpa was taken by ambulance to a Limassol hospital, where she remained in critical condition and was intubated.

The Limassol Traffic Department is continuing to investigate the case.
