A 59-year-old woman has been sentenced to 12 years in prison by the Larnaca Permanent Criminal Court for illegally importing approximately 2 kilograms of cocaine.
The woman was found guilty of importing and possessing narcotics with the intention of supplying them to another person. The offenses were committed on October 4th of last year.
The cocaine, weighing approximately 2 kilograms and 116 grams, was discovered in a bag in the woman's possession upon her arrival from abroad at Larnaca airport.
