A large quantity of drugs was discovered by members of the Cyprus Drug Law Enforcement Unit (YKAN) following a tip-off and investigation. Authorities seized a total of 30 kilograms of mixed-weight cocaine, found inside a carry-on bag within a shipping container.
The discovery was made on November 13, when the bag was located in a container that had been imported from abroad. After receiving the information, YKAN officers acted swiftly to intercept and confiscate the significant drug haul.
Investigations are ongoing, both in Cyprus and internationally, as authorities continue to track the origins and intended destination of the shipment.
