Primary, middle, and high school students won’t be returning to school classrooms on January 7, as the Education Ministry announced Tuesday that the school year will resume via distance learning.
The decision came into force at 6pm on Tuesday and expires on January 10 along with all other restrictions in place, with the measures to follow expected to be on the harsher side given the highly-deteriorated state of the pandemic in recent days.
The Education Ministry said that students of higher education institutes who must attend classes that require physical presence, such as those conducted in laboratories, may attend in person, but must abide by health protocols in place.
