Cyprus President Nicos Anastasiades travels to London on Sunday where he will take part in a special event dedicated to Cyprus, at the Buckingham Palace and he will have meetings with Queen Elisabeth, Prince Charles and Duke of Cambridge William, as well as with British Prime Minister Theresa May.
In statements at the Presidential Palace, Government Spokesman Prodromos Prodromou said that President Anastasiades will be travelling to London on Sunday, following an invitation by the Royal family to take part in an event in honour of Cyprus in the framework of Commonwealth, entitled “Celebration for Cyprus.”
This event, which will take place at Buckingham Palace, Prodromou noted, includes apart from a special ceremony, three exhibitions, one with archaeological artifacts from Cyprus, one comprising old authentic maps of Cyprus and a thematic exhibition on university and academic cooperation.
President Anastasiades will address the ceremony about Cyprus, he added.
The Spokesman went on to say that the President will have meetings with Queen Elisabeth, Prince Charles in his capacity as future head of the Commonwealth and Duke of Cambridge William, as well as British Prime Minister Theresa May.
