EU chief negotiator Michel Barnier arrives in Cyprus today for talks on Brexit preparations.
Barnier’s visit is part of a series of contacts he is holding in EU capitals to exchange views on the preparedness of member states, according to a press release issued by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
Barnier will hold meetings with President Anastasiades, Foreign Minister Nikos Christodoulides and with the Parliamentary Committee on Foreign and European Affairs.
The Cypriot officials are also expected to bring up, among other things, Turkey's actions in the Cypriot EEZ and call for an EU collective response to the Turkish provocations.
Mr Christodoulides and Mr Barnier are expected to make statements to the press.
