Because what could possibly go wrong? (video)

Flips, stunts and near misses as Latsia rider proves some ''fun'' belongs only on a closed course.

A motorcyclist in Latsia apparently decided that sidewalks, bike paths and roads were all part of the same playground, and a new social media video shows just how “fun” that can get.

The footage, posted February 22 on the risky.moto page, shows the rider performing flips and stunts while weaving up and down between the sidewalk, bike path and street. At one point, the motorcyclist was thrown off the sidewalk and landed directly in front of an oncoming car. Fortunately, the driver spotted him in time and braked, avoiding what could easily have been a serious accident.

The motorcycle had no license plates, and the rider, who was wearing a helmet, appeared to be recorded by a companion. The video carried the caption: “If it can’t kill you, then it’s probably not that much fun.”

Authorities say reckless behavior like this continues to appear on Cypriot roads despite a recent string of collisions, some of them fatal. Police urged motorcyclists and motorists alike to stick to traffic laws and leave the stunts to professional shows, not public streets.

“This is exactly the kind of risk that endangers not just the rider, but everyone else on the road,” a traffic official said. “One wrong move, and it’s not fun anymore.”

The video has sparked debate online, with some viewers marveling at the rider’s skill, while others criticized the disregard for basic safety. Either way, it’s a reminder that thrill-seeking has very real consequences when done in the middle of traffic.
