Marina Hadjimanolis to boost Cyprus’ 2026-2027 candidacy at global maritime events

Deputy Minister of Shipping, Marina Hadjimanolis is travelling to Hong Kong Wednesday, at the invitation of the President of the International Chamber of Shipping, to participate as a speaker at the Hong Kong Global Maritime Trade Summit and will then travel to London where she will announce Cyprus' candidacy in the upcoming elections of the Council of the Organization, for 2026-2027.

In Hong Kong, the Deputy Minister will meet with local government officials, shipping companies and executives from the local and global shipping community, a press release from the Deputy Ministry issued here today says.

Hadjimanolis will also participate in events that will be organized as part of the shipping week in Hong Kong.

The Deputy Minister will then travel to London where she will host a reception at the International Maritime Organization, to announce Cyprus' candidacy in the upcoming elections of the Council of the Organization, for 2026-2027.

During her stay in London, she will have a number of contacts with shipping companies, as well as the local shipping community.
