Safe Bulkers Inc. participated in the workshop titled "Getting to Know the World of Shipping," on Monday, April 15, 2024, at the BSM Maritime Education Centre building in Limassol. The event was held in cooperation with the Counseling and Vocational Education Service of the Ministry of Education as part of its new initiatives to promote maritime and shipping education.

The presentation aimed to highlight the diverse and multifaceted nature of the shipping sector, discussing the organizational structure of a shipping company and the various departments where young people can find employment opportunities as specialized office staff. The shipping sector offers immediate professional rehabilitation and excellent career prospects.

The workshop, attended by 100 students from the 1st and 2nd High Schools and Technical Schools of the Limassol and Paphos Districts, aimed to familiarize students with the maritime world and shipping professions. It comprised five thematic units with experiential workshops. The theoretical part introduced maritime professions, followed by a discussion allowing students to ask questions. The workshop concluded with simulation workshops, providing students with a deeper understanding of maritime professions by allowing them to experience working on ships and at sea.
