President Nicos Christodoulides expressed satisfaction following the European People's Party's decision to elevate the Cyprus issue among its top ten priorities. He noted that this acknowledgment underscores Cyprus's message to the international community and highlights the potential role of the European Union in addressing the longstanding challenge.

Christodoulides further elaborated on his meeting with UN Secretary-General's Special Envoy Maria Anjela Olgin, where they discussed her efforts to facilitate the resumption of negotiations aimed at resolving the Cyprus problem. The President emphasized the importance of finding a lasting solution and ensuring progress in the peace process.

Upon his return to Cyprus, President Christodoulides intends to brief parliamentary parties on the discussions held with Olgin and the ongoing efforts at the international level to advance the Cyprus issue. This diplomatic engagement underscores Cyprus's commitment to seeking a comprehensive and sustainable resolution with the support of international partners.
