Since its inception, the awards have recognized individuals who have demonstrated unwavering commitment and creativity in overcoming challenges to bring authentic Cypriot flavors to the forefront. This year's event, scheduled for June 27, 2024, at the Old Nicosia Town Hall Building, will celebrate the achievements of those who have excelled in producing high-quality food and drink that reflect Cyprus's unique cultural identity.

More than 80 products underwent rigorous evaluation by expert panels comprising chefs, sommeliers, scientists, and researchers. Among the award categories are goat and sheep halloumi, virgin olive oil, traditional lountza, red potatoes, craft beers, Commandaria, and wines made from indigenous grape varieties such as Spurtiko, Xinisteri, and Maratheftiko.

The awards not only recognize excellence but also underscore the resilience and innovation of Cypriot producers who continue to push boundaries in the culinary world. The ceremony will be sponsored by the Bank of Cyprus, with support from Sklavenitis stores, OPAP Cyprus for cultural contributions, and Epic for sustainable development initiatives. The Nicosia Municipality is also lending its support to the event.
