Labour Minister Zeta Emilianidou leaves behind a heavy legacy for all of us, said House President Annita Demetriou, expressing the condolences of the Parliament and her own for the loss of the Minister who passed away Monday evening at 68 years of age.
Demetriou described the late Minister as a very proficient government official who honored the position of the ministry entrusted to her by the state, fulfilling her duty in full adding that she was also a very close and valuable associate of the Parliament.
She noted that Emilianidou always attended parliamentary committee meetings whenever she was invited, whatever position she held.
Demetriou said that the Minister contributed important legislative initiatives, significant interventions and with her determination and efficiency in the resolution of difficult situations and the passing of important labor bills that strengthened worker's rights and social security, creating a fairer society.
