A 14-year-old boy received a three-year conditional caution today from the British Bases Court in Dhekelia. The case involved the creation and distribution of child pornography.
The teenager, who had previously pleaded guilty, appeared before the court for a follow-up hearing. The Magistrate, instead of imposing a formal sentence, opted for a conditional caution. This means the case can be brought back to court if the boy repeats the offense of creating or distributing child pornography within the three-year period.
According to court documents, a school in Larnaca County filed a complaint with the Base Police on Thursday, October 24th, at noon. The complaint concerned the dissemination of digitally altered nude photographs featuring female students and high school teachers.
Based on this complaint, authorities obtained a search warrant for the 14-year-old's residence and subsequently arrested him.
