Newsroom

Four new suspected coronavirus cases were being treated at the Limassol General Hospital on Wednesday, while three other suspected cases had received a green light for their release.

According to the heads of the hospital, which on Wednesday suspended operations for 48 hours, three new suspected coronavirus cases were being treated on Wednesday morning, with a fourth case, an Italian woman showing flu symptoms, arriving at noon to be tested.

On Tuesday night, a soldier of the Greek force in Cyprus and a French woman were released from the Limassol hospital, while later on Wednesday a patient with heart problems who had come in contact with the state doctor, one of the island’s confirmed coronavirus cases, will also be released.

As part of coronavirus protection measures, the Limassol General Hospital announced that all outpatient appointments, admissions, and surgeries scheduled during the next 48 hours are cancelled, while visitation times will be strictly observed for all patients (from 1pm-2pm and 5pm-7pm) and only in case of absolute necessity and only by a single visitor.
