A delegation of the Parliamentary Assembly of Francophonie (APF) will pay Cyprus a visit on March 29 and 30, at the invitation of the House of Representatives, in the context of the Parliament's intention to submit an application for participation in the APF.

The delegation will be received by President of the House of Representatives Annita Demetriou, who will deliver to the head of the delegation Belgian Jean-Charles Luperto a letter of intent addressed to the President of the APF Francis Drouin to join the organization.

The delegation will hold separate meetings with Chairman Harris Georgiades and Members of the Parliamentary Committee on Foreign and European Affairs, Minister of Education, Sports and Youth Dr. Athena Michailidou and Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Kornelios Korneliou.

The delegation will also travel to the coastal town of Limassol, where they will meet with Deputy Mayor Neophytos Charalambides and French-speaking personalities of the city.

In addition, they will visit the French-Cypriot School in Nicosia and Limassol and the French Institute. They will also attend the awards ceremony of the "We are Francophonie" competition, organized by the Department of French and European Studies of the University of Cyprus, as part of the Month of Francophonie.
