Giannis Antetokounmpo, the Greek NBA star known for his incredible rise from Athens to the Milwaukee Bucks, is now adding a new chapter to his impressive career—film production. Through his company, Improbable Media, the basketball legend has ventured into the world of cinema, co-producing his first film with Studio Galazio, a new production company focused on creating projects with a strong Greek flair.

The film, which has just wrapped up shooting, is a comedy that follows a group of quirky, noble thieves who target arrogant tourists ruining the summer vibe in Mykonos. Set against the stunning backdrop of the famous Greek island, the story promises a mix of laughs, adventure, and a taste of Greek culture.

The cast features a mix of both international and Greek talent, including rising star Klelia Andriolatou (known for Netflix’s Maestro in Blue) and Riccardo Scamarzio (John Wick 2), alongside Julia Fox from Uncut Gems. Other notable names include Vito Schnabel, Andrew Georgiadis, Panos Koronis, Makis Papadimitriou, and Giorgos Pyrpasopoulos, to name a few.

The collaboration between Antetokounmpo’s Improbable Media and Studio Galazio marks an exciting first step for the NBA star in the entertainment world. The project also involves Greek company BLONDE SA (producer of Tehran) and a talented international production team, including Ginevra Tamberi from Amazon’s MGM Studios and Raphael Benoliel from Emily in Paris.

Christopher André Marks, CEO of Studio Galazio, who also directs the film, expressed his excitement about the project: “It’s a great honor to work with such a brilliant cast and crew. This is our first major venture in Greece, and I’m incredibly grateful to have brought this film to life.”

For Giannis, this new venture into film production is just another example of his growing list of business interests, which already includes energy drinks, wineries, and more. His passion for storytelling and commitment to promoting Greek culture through global platforms is clear, and this film is just the beginning of his creative journey.

As Giannis continues to shine both on and off the basketball court, this film project marks an exciting new chapter in his already inspiring career, blending his love for his roots with his entrepreneurial drive.
